Robert E. Rickey Cincinnati, Ohio
Robert Rickey graduated summa cum laude from Wittenberg University in 1999. While at the University of Cincinnati College of Law, Mr. Rickey was an Executive Committee Member of Moot Court Board. As a member of Moot Court, he co-authored the Best Respondent's Brief at the New York Law School 26th Annual Robert F. Wagner, Sr. National Labor Law Moot Court Competition and placed first at the 2001 Carl A. Stickel Cybercrimes Competition at the University of Dayton Law School. Additionally, he was the Problem Writer for the 2002 August A. Rendigs, Jr. National Products Liability Moot Court Competition. Mr. Rickey began clerking for David M. Cook in 2001 while completing law school. He has co-authored multiple briefs for the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and has litigation experience in the United States District Courts for the Southern District of Ohio and the Eastern District of Kentucky. He has also litigated numerous cases at various levels of state court, including common pleas, municipal, juvenile and probate courts in Hamilton, Clermont, Butler, Brown and Adams counties. In addition to his work for labor unions and employees, Mr. Rickey practices criminal law and domestic relations law, and he provides legal services for indigent criminal defendants in Brown County, Ohio. Mr. Rickey serves on the Brown County General Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees and is Vice-President of the Brown County Bar Association. Mr. Rickey is an active member of the Masonic Lodge and Kiwanis in Russellville, Ohio.
